Challenge: Who can make the fastest yacht? Give a set amount of time for kids to make yacht. Take to paddling pool. Either blow or use fans and clock the fastest time. Take photos of winners. |

Take kids to water and teach them how to skip rocks. See who can make the most skips. |

Raft making |
Household materials: popsicle sticks, sticks, bamboo, matches, toothpicks, thread, string, waterproof glue, an object to place on the raft (preferably one you don't want back!) |
Similar to Yacht making. Kids create a raft, place the object on it, and set it on water. The challenge is to make a raft that will hold the object up for the longest period of time. |
